        Frequently Asked Questions

        What can I expect with the process of creating my sculpture?

        When you come for your appointment, we will have a chat and go through pose options and discuss the process.

        We then begin the 3d scan session. We do a few different scans so that you have the option to view and choose your favourite. You will need to hold a pose for approximately 2 minutes at a time.

        Once we have done all the scans and you are happy, we will show you the options of finishes for your sculpture as well as base colour options for you to choose.

        Your statue will then be digitally cleaned up and prepared, ready to print. Before printing we will send you a video of the 3d model with your selected finish to preview (final colours will vary slightly as they are hand made and painted). Once you have signed off on the digital version, your pregnancy statue is then printed, painted and mounted to the base.

        When you have welcomed your little one into the world we will ship your artwork to you*, to be cherished forever.

        *(aprrox 4-8 weeks after your due date for in studio session)

        Is the 3d scan safe?

        Yes, it is perfectly safe. The 3d scanner uses infrared light, the same kind of light your baby monitor uses for night vision.

        When is the best time to book my session?

        The best time to capture your bump in all its wonder would be between weeks 30 and 36 of your pregnancy. After week 36 there is a greater chance of you giving birth before you have had your session with us. If you are having twins we suggest booking between weeks 28 and 34 for the same reasons. If you have only heard about us late in your pregnancy don’t worry, we will do our best to book you in ASAP to get your beautiful work of art made.

        Can I bring someone with me to the session?

        Of course! We want you be comfortable and if that means a reassuring partner, mum or best friend then please bring them along for the experience.

        How long does the session last?

        On average, a session will last around 40-60 minutes. The scans themselves take only a couple of minutes each but we normally do a few so you have a choice of poses.

        Where are your studios?

        Our main studio is in the town of Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, but we are excited to have teamed up with Cherish You in Plymouth to bring in studio sessions to Devon. If you can’t make it to either of these locations we do offer a remote scan option, just contact us and we will send full details on how to go about this.

        Do I have to pose naked?

        It is entirely up to you. You can cover your breasts with your arm or hands or you can wear pants and cover your breasts. You may wish to pose in underwear. We can discuss this with you and show you examples of the different options. The most important thing is that you are comfortable.

        If I wear underwear will it be visible on my final sculpture?

        No — any underwear is carefully sculpted out during the digital clean up stage, before the sculpture is 3D printed, ensuring a smooth and natural final piece.

        Do I need to choose a finish before hand?

        No, we will go through your options on the day and if you are still undecided we can send you over some digital proofs of a few options once your digital model is ready. Please note that if you choose the finish later it may lead to a slightly delayed shipping date.

        Can I purchase a session as a gift?

        Yes! One of our sculptures makes an excellent pregnancy gift, but being very time sensitive, please ensure that the lucky recipient receives their gift with enough time to book in their session.

        I would love to have a sculpture made, but I can't travel to your studio for the scan.

        We offer a remote scan service. You would require the assistance of your partner or a friend to capture a video of you in a pose. Simply use the remote scan session booking form and we will send you detailed instructions on how to do the scan.

        Do I need to bring anything with me?

        Yes, please bring something to tie up your hair. We do provide hair elastics if you forget. If you choose to pose in underwear, please bring non patterned and light coloured underwear, eg. a nude coloured, no VPL thong would deliver the best results.

        When can I expect my sculpture?

        We aim to ship your sculpture to you about 4 to 8 weeks after your due date, giving you time to settle in with your new little one.

        I've only just found out about you but I've already had my baby. Is there any way to do a sculpture from photos?

        In a nutshell, yes. We would still need to do a scan of you so that the likeness is as accurate as possible. We will then use the photos as reference to digitally sculpt your body back to its pregnant wonder.

        What are the sculptures made of?

        Your sculpture is 3D printed using a durable, high-quality resin, then carefully hand-sanded and primed. Layered finishes are applied by hand before the piece is sealed, ensuring lasting protection for your precious keepsake. Each sculpture is also weighted.

        How can I pay?

        You can pay by card or cash on the day. If you’d prefer to pay online before the day just let us know and we will send over a payment link for you.

        About

        The pregnant body is extraordinary — powerful, beautiful and worthy of being celebrated. Watching my wife go through two pregnancies was a profound experience, seeing her body change as it created new life.

        During our second pregnancy, I was finally able to preserve that moment in time — a keepsake we could treasure forever. It is this feeling I want to pass on to others: the joy of capturing one of life’s most remarkable and magical moments.

        The idea for these sculptures was born in 2022, followed by a year spent refining every detail — from technology and materials to finishes and process — before launching in July 2023 as my full time business.
